In his works, Manish has tried to capture the resonance of the chanting, japa, and to visualize the auditory experience. His paintings are fecund, organic and full of vitality. Pushkale has exhibited in several exhibitions including the Bharat Bhavan Biennial in Bhopal in1998, the National Kala Mela in Delhi in 1996 and at the Gadfly Gallery in Perth. His works have also been featured in group exhibitions such as the Young Contemporary Artists Group Show at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, the 2002 Harmony Show, curated by Vikram Sethi, in Mumbai in 2002 and 'Argosy', curated by Renu Modi in Dubai also in 2002. Pushkale was awarded the Raza Foundation Award in 2003 and the AIFACS Award in1997.
